/// SVPPLY ME
I am always drooling over the vintage picks at YéYé. She has such a keen eye for great pieces. And now she's making dresses? It just got even better. C'mon, the Bord de la Mer dress is stunning.
I stumbled across TOMTOM Jewelry the other week and kind of died. I'm such a sucker for stacking rings, geometric styles, & futuristic designs -- all of which TOMTOM has. And it's affordable to boot!
Ch-ch-check it.

/// STEAL THIS :: AMANDA BLANK
When I'm dragging my feet, I put on some Amanda Blank, have a little dance party, & step to it. (She's also a babe. And I'm envious of her technicolor wardrobe.) Go on, put a little jiggle in your Monday.
(Yuksek is awesome too. Maybe he'll make an appearance Thursday, seeing how he has a new album.)

/// STEAL THIS :: I BREAK HORSES
(This is a day late because... it is.) Sweden continually churns out some of the best music around, and I Break Horses is no exception. It's absolutely sweet & dreamy, with a tinge of darkness. Listen for yourselves.

/// THE SMITHS + THE MUPPETS
I've hit my mid-week slump. I am also still unemployed & eating too many Oreos. This perked me up, though.

/// STEAL THIS :: JACUZZI BOYS
These Miami dudes are my end of the summer jam... but I've been told summer will not end until October here. *GREAT.* A girl can dream & kick back by the pool anyway. Regardless, Jacuzzi Boys will definitely get your week started right.

/// STEAL THIS :: TEAM GHOST
I was going to talk about a different band today but then I stumbled across TEAM GHOST last night and now I want to talk about them. So Team Ghost -- real into this. They're French, so obviously I like them. But the dreaminess of their sound is just what my soul needs right now -- and makes me want a proper autumn ever more.
Listen.

/// STEAL THIS :: CEREBRAL BALLZY
I feel like drinkin' 40s & breakin' shit. So today I plan on listening to Cerebral Ballzy, who just released their first full-length. (It's sick.) These kids definitely have a sound similar to Minor Threat or Bad Brains, but with a fresh, youthful, Brooklyn take on punk. We could use more of their kind -- and talent.

/// STEAL THIS :: KURT VILE + THE VIOLATORS
I so was going to post this Monday but my week has already gotten away from me. I've been searching for a job & working on my shit to go back to school. I've also been spending an obnoxious amount of time scoping out the music scene here in Phoenix.
Luckily, I stumbled across Stateside Presents (Trust me, this is applicable to this post & future posts.) I always get overly excited when I see ambitious production companies organizing really great shows. And as if this wasn't awesome enough, I just found out that they will be opening a venue in October that already has fucking amazing shows booked: Crescent Ballroom. Gang Gang Dance, CSS, Friendly Fires, Washed Out, the Naked and Famous, St. Vincent, M83? Holy shit -- I'm going to have a busy autumn. So about my job applications... (I most definitely need to fund these shows. Now.) Look forward to more posts about great music & their live shows.
Speaking of STEAL THIS & live performances, I saw Kurt Vile + the Violators via Stateside Presents on Sunday. I have a soft spot in my heart for Kurt Vile. Not only are he & the Violators good ol' Philly kids, but he really started to gain momentum while I was living in Philly. I always associate his music with the camaraderie I felt with my friends that summer. Seeing him & hearing his music live made me think of my East coast kids. He did not disappoint; it was a wonderful show. (Sidenote: he has lovely hair.)
